This client was wanting to update what had become a tired kitchen, but was wanting to keep to the floors so the foot print of the kitchen was to be kept in the same place.
The sink had always been too far away from the cooktop for draining rice or pasta , or for adding things to the pot. As it was not possible to move the cooktop we put in a prep sink half way between the old sink and the cooktop. We took the opportunity to put in as many drawers as possible which made for more accessible storage.
This keen cook was bursting out of her kitchen and wanted to make use of a space outside of the kitchen area that was too small to be of any use for other furnishings.
we combined the kitchen area and the second small space. Replaced a to the floor window with a bi fold that opened and served the outside entertaining.
The brickwork surrounding the pantry and oven were removed, as well as the L-shaped nib wall.
